KULGAM POLICE ARRESTED THREE BURGLARS, STOLEN PROPERTY WORTH LAKHS RECOVERED

Kulgam October 13: Kulgam police continuing its drive against social crimes, today on 13.10.2020 Police Police station Kulgam in a major success apprehended a gang of Burglars involved in many cases and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees from their possession, which they had stolen from Kulgam and its various adjacent areas.

During last couple of months in Kulgam area thefts/burglaries occurred as a group of burglars were active in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kulgam, in response Police intensified its Patrolling and surveillance activities to put stop to these burglaries. With strenuous efforts and swift action by team of Police headed by SHO Kulgam Insp Davinder Singh under the supervision DYSP HQ shri Ghulam Mohd Bhat-JKPS prepared a list of suspects and during questioning of these suspects investigation was zeroed down to three culprits.

During the questioning they also disclosed the hideout where they used to keep all the stolen material.

Regarding the incident case with FIR No 151/2020 U/S 379, 511 IPC has been registered in police Station Kulgam and further investigation into the matter has been initiated, as more recovery of stolen property is expected. 

General public of the areas has hailed this prompt police action.
